One of your main objectives when giving a public speaking speech is to help the audience to understand and relate to what you are saying.
By now you might be asking "How do I develop persuasive public speaking skills?" Well, not too long ago I was asking that same question. It was this burning question that led me down a path of extensive research on how to properly speak in public
While doing my research, one book led me to another. When reading a book I would read something I have never heard of before, and that led me to dive deeper into that unknown thing.
It didn't take long for me to build a tall stack of books in my room. After I had read all my books on persuasive public speaking I found myself asking "Now what?" I had way too much information and I didn't know what to do with it all.
I than decided the only way I was going to become better at public speaking was to find someone who had persuasive public speaking skills, and have them teach me their skills. So, that's exactly what I did.
Having someone teach me about speech really helped me to understand the proper techniques and strategies to speech. It helped me take everything I read in all my books and put it together in the right order. One thing I liked about my speech coach was that he was able to correct me on what I was doing wrong.
In conclusion, most likely you're here because you want to know how to develop persuasive public speaking skills. My advice to you is to do research on how to properly speak in public, study persuasive speakers, and then, find someone that can teach you the science of speech. If you do these things, in time, you will have persuasive public speaking skills.
