3 Public Speaking Seminar Tips For Public Speaking Confidence

Having confidence in your public speaking is one of the most important elements of being a successful public speaker. Here are three quick practical confidence boosting tips that you can use to increase your confidence when doing presentations.

Tip 1: One of the common root causes for public speaking anxiety is just a plain old lack of confidence. A temporary quick fix confidence booster, tip offered by many speakers, is that you try picturing everybody in their underwear. This image distracts you from your fear and reminds you that the people in the audience are no better than you are.

Tip 2: Back in the days when I did presentations, under the weight of public speaking anxiety, one thing that helped to ease the pressure was to evaluate my situation in a logical way. The pep talk that went something like this: "Girlfriend You are going to be public speaking. What is the worst that could happen? When you are amongst a crowd, do you start laughing at the speaker when he makes a mistake or stutters? Do you think mean things about him? You know you do not, so why would anyone do that to you?" Ask yourself, "what would the worst case scenario be"? Chances are you will realize that it is unrealistic, or it would not be that bad at all."

Tip 3: Be prepared and practice, practice, practice. I know you have heard this a million times but it really helps. Practice giving your public speaking speech in front of the mirror, and then move on to give a public speaking speech to your friends and family or even the dogs. The more you read your public speaking speech out loud the more prepared you will feel and the more confident you will become because you will be more into the moment as you deliver your public speaking speech.

These confidence boosting public speaking tips only work when you put them into practice. The more comfortable you feel while delivering your presentation the more effective you will be. The more confidence you exude the stronger your impact will be on your audience. And the stronger your impact, the more they love you. And the more they love you the more they will be willing to pay you to serve them.

So make it great!
